This two-strand necklace has 68 perfectly matched and large graduated pearls. For years, pearls have been treasured more than any all other gems in India as a sign of wealth and power. these pearls were originally part of a seven-strand pearl necklace owned by the Maharaja of Baroda in the mid-1800s. Later, the Maharaja’s son gave the pearl strands to his second wife, Sita Devi In 1943. The piece was then sold on auction in 2007, it consisted of two strands of the biggest and best pearls from the original seven-strand necklace.
